| Reuters exclusively reported the European Commission will propose light-touch rules for Airbnb and other short-term home rental companies. Under the draft rules, short-term home rental companies will have to provide data to national authorities on numbers using their services and how many nights they stay. The European Commission is deploying these rules in a bid to harmonise the patchwork of rules across the European Union and address criticism from some cities seeing an explosion of short-term rental homes. |
